“It’s a moving, developing issue right now and we are working with the Secretary of State right now to develop the schedule” Department of Finance official Millie Yan told Assemblyman David Tangipa, R-Fresno, when he asked if the legislature was writing a blank check and how local elections officials would be supported for the special election.
When Tangipa asked if there was a limit on how much money state leaders plan to spend on the election, Yan said there would be but was not specific.
