Republicans like Assemblyman David Tangipa say the change is still not enough.
“Money for individuals who are illegal? What a slap in the face,” Tangipa told the legislature. “What insanity. This budget is a reflection of our priorities, and unfortunately, it doesn’t prioritize Californians.”
