Meanwhile, Republican Assemblymember David Tangipa says he welcomes the announcement.
“It’s going to force us to get into the room, have the hard conversations and say, what can we do to get something done,” Tangipa said.
Tangipa was with Secretary Duffy when he visited California earlier this year following Trump’s call for an investigation. He says all Californians will benefit from a closer look at what’s being spent to build the tracks.
