Some local lawmakers, like republican David Tangipa, believe the current law makes it too easy for offenders to slip through the cracks and continue preying on victims.
“That is emblematic of a larger problem that we have here in leadership in this state that we’ve really got to get back to normal. We should hold predators accountable again,” he said.
