Assemblyman David Tangipa, who represents District 8, played a key role in bringing Shakira to Fresno, which was something that wasn’t in her original tour schedule.
He points out, “I definitely feel like this community will show up if we put together a really good project. But not only that, we’re advocating at the larger level…of well, this is what’s going to happen, if you guys actually have more time to market to the valley.”
