Assemblymember David Tangipa brought up the concern of undocumented people getting access to health care being a reason for increased costs for the state.
“And the main reason why I asked that is because when I look at the Department of Finance’s 2024 budget for undocumented medical coverage, it was nearly off by about 40%, you know, and we’re over budget by over 1,000%,” Tangipa said.
