UPDATE: Middle Class Tax Refund Not Federally Taxable

If you received a Middle Class Tax Refund (MCTR) payment of $600 or more either via direct deposit, debit card, or check, you may have also received a 1099 form to report this as income when filing your federal taxes.

The IRS has just ruled that the MCTR payment are not considered income. This means you do not need to report them on your 2022 taxes.

If you still have not received your MCTR or have questions about it, please feel free to call us at 559-446-2029.
